Computer and Software Training


TRC offers classes on using your Windows based PC. These one-to-one sessions are not the type of mass-training you get at a community college setting. You will learn how to do exactly the things you want to accomplish.

Classes are held at our Burnsville office on Wednesday & Saturday, by appointment only, and are limited to 1 or 2 people in a group.

New Computer Setup


TRC will perform all of the Windows updates, registration, email, & printer setup on your new Desktop/Laptop PC no matter where you purchased it. The setup service also includes optimization for peak performance, and removal of all the "Trial" software that comes preinstalled on most new computers.

On-Site Service


If you need on-site service for multiple computer systems, servers, or network configuration TRC can come to your location.

Remote Support Service


Remote support service is available for anyone with a working internet connection. In most cases repairs can be performed without having to bring your computer to the shop! Contact us or check our appointment calendar to request remote service and to verify your computer repair qualifies for this type of service.

If you have RMM services your repair may be performed at no extra cost!

Software Technical Support

If you need assistance getting software to install or function properly TRC Computer Service can help.

Standard Bench Fee

Our standard or "Flat Rate" bench fee is $65. This generally covers all repairs. The exceptions are Operating System reset or installations. This can, and usually does, take 8 hours or more. For those services we have a flat rate of $89.

Since all computer systems require different repair procedures, there may be excessive time needed to complete the service. These are not typical, but you should be aware that there may be additional charges to the flat rate. These are usually no more than around $40.

System Installations


Setting up a PC is usually a fairly simple process. Now add network connectivity, Server/Client networks or Workgroups, Network printers & Hubs, you get the idea. That simple 20 minute setup can become an all-day project, if it ever works correctly at all.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long will you have my computer?

That’s generally the first question asked. And just like the second question, “how much will it cost”, the answer is, it depends.

While most repairs take 2-days or less, and many are completed in 24 hrs., all situations are different. Our goal is to be completed in 1-day. New or difficult virus’, hundreds of gigabytes of data to transfer, and older / slower systems all add complexity and time to the service length of time. Any parts that have to be ordered will add to that as well.

When you drop your computer off for service, you will get a receipt with a ticket number. You can use that number to check the status online (if you have access to another device of course) of the service.

You will also receive email & text alerts as work is performed and your ticket is updated.

What is your refund policy?

We offer no-questions-asked refunds to all customers within 30 days of your purchase. If you are not satisfied with our product, then simply return the item and we will refund your purchase right away. Our goal has always been to create a happy, repeat customers. If you are not thrilled with the product or are not enjoying the experience, then we have no interest in forcing you to stay an unhappy client.

There are some restrictions on software due to licensing enforced by the manufacturer. In these cases we will do our best to resolve the problem.

Also some hardware, such as laptops, may incur a restocking fee, service charge, or both, to reset to a as-new condition.
